OPTEL’s expertise empowers industries to measure, inspect, control, and track a wide range of elements in order to improve product quality and promote a more responsible use of resources.Summary:Within the field services department, the incumbent’s primary responsibility is to ensure the installation and commissioning of OPTEL systems at client sites. They also play a key role in maintenance, training, and technical support to guarantee customer satisfaction and loyalty.Principal tasks:Install OPTEL systems at client sites in accordance with established standards;Carry out mechanical and electrical installation while ensuring compliance with quality standards;Collaborate with the technical support and factory design team to diagnose and resolve issues;Train end-users on the proper use of OPTEL systems;Prepare complete and accurate installation reports;Support clients during system qualification;Perform maintenance and repair on installed systems, as requested by the customer service department;Conduct engineering visits when required;Produce detailed service reports;Identify potential sales opportunities (new contracts, complementary systems).Requisite Skills:College diploma in electronics, computer science, electromechanics, or related field, or equivalent experience;Strong knowledge in computer science and electronics;Experience in the pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetics industries (asset);Hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment;Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly;Excellent time management, prioritization, and ability to work effectively under pressure;Strong client orientation and solid teamwork skills;Resourcefulness, adaptability, versatility, and flexibility;Availability to travel approximately three weeks per month;Valid driver’s license and passport;High curiosity and willingness to learn and adopt new technologies, particularly artificial intelligence.Benefits:Competitive compensationFlexible working hoursEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Comprehensive group insurance planA global organization with a presence on several continentsOPTEL is an equal opportunity employer.
