OverviewAs our Senior Integrations Engineer, you’ll architect features and systems end-to-end at an incredible pace. This is an opportunity to own critical infrastructure at the early stage of a category-defining AI company. Build the first, true AI accounting product with your own hands.This is an intense, hands-on role with full ownership. We expect you to push for excellence and raise the bar.📍 Location: Remote with overlap to our New York City HQ (EST)Where you'll create impactOwn end-to-end execution for backend systems and infrastructureImplement and validate end-to-end payment and data pipelines - from ISO 20022 parsing/validation (PAIN, CAMT) to real-world bank testing (penny tests), reconciliation, and production readinessOwn secure connectivity with banks and partners by provisioning host-to-host connections (SFTP), managing endpoint setup, and handling SSH + PGP key exchange and rotationsLead integration projects across both banking and enterprise systems, defining scope, designing the integration approach, and driving delivery for domestic + international payment flowsBuild and maintain customer-facing integrations between DualEntry and third-party platforms (AP/AR tools, billing, CRM, payroll, data warehouses), ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and clean sync behaviorDebug and resolve connectivity, payment, and statement issues by tracing through logs, monitoring/observability tools, file payloads, and database recordsIncrease reliability and scale by reducing manual work: automate onboarding and integration playbooks, standardize test frameworks, and build maintainable backend tooling that keeps pipelines stableDrive measurable outcomes that accelerate DualEntry’s product velocity and stabilityWhat sets you up for successHardcore work ethic and high agency8+ years building backend systems, ideally in high-growth, high-ownership environments where you ship fast and own outcomes end-to-endDeep expertise in Python and modern backend frameworks (FastAPI/Flask/Django)Strong database fundamentals: PostgreSQL, SQL, schema design, migrations, ORMsExperience building production-grade APIsHands-on with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and the full delivery lifecycle: CI/CD, deployments, monitoring and incidentsExperience in payments, fintech, or financial services is strongly preferredFamiliarity with payment rails and flows (SEPA, ACH, Wires, Faster Payments, CHAPS, Bacs) and payment messaging/file formats (PAIN, CAMT) is a plus.Able to operate in messy, evolving requirements - you design systems that scale while staying pragmatic.Clear communicator (C1+ English).
