This is a hands-on role for a strong builder, someone who can operate across multiple security domains, move quickly, communicate clearly, and help create structure in an environment where security maturity is growing.This person will work closely with Security Architecture & Engineering leadership and partner across infrastructure, IT, cloud, engineering, and business teams to improve security capabilities and drive meaningful security outcomes. The right candidate is technically strong, self-motivated, adaptable, and excited by the opportunity to help shape and mature security in a company where there is real room to make an impact.Responsibilities:Design, implement, improve, and help operationalize security controls across the enterprise.Partner with leadership to mature cybersecurity capabilities and support long term security architecture.Lead or contribute to security initiatives across key domains, including:Identity and access managementEndpoint securityNetwork & cloud security  Data securityVulnerability and exposure managementLogging, detection, and response enablementEvaluate current state security controls, identify gaps, and recommend practical, risk-based improvements.Help define and document security standards, architecture patterns, design decisions, and implementation guidance.Support implementation, integration, tuning, and lifecycle management of security technologies across the stack.Work cross functionally with technical and non technical stakeholders to ensure security controls are effective, scalable, and aligned with business needs.Help establish repeatable processes, technical standards, and strong engineering discipline across the security program.Contribute to a security culture that is collaborative, pragmatic, and focused on enabling the business while reducing risk.Skills and Experience needed for success in this role:Strong hands on experience in security engineering, including implementation, administration, and improvement of security controlsBroad and deep experience across most security domainsExperience implementing and supporting security tools and controls, not just advising on themAbility to move between tactical engineering work and higher-level architectural thinkingInterest in architecture, with experience in technical design, documentation, standards, or best practice developmentStrong judgment in balancing security risk, business needs, and practical executionExperience working in environments where security is still maturing is highly valuedCore TraitsSelf motivated and highly accountableQuick learner who can absorb a lot of context and ramp fastComfortable navigating ambiguity and helping create structureStrong communicator who can explain technical issues clearly and effectivelyAble to pivot as priorities evolve without losing momentumCollaborative, low ego, and easy to work withCalm, practical, and execution focusedEnergized by building security maturityPreferred Qualifications:Experience in SaaS or complex enterprise environmentsExperience helping build or mature cybersecurity capabilities in a growing organizationFamiliarity with cloud first and hybrid environmentsExperience partnering closely with IT, infrastructure, and engineering teamsExposure to security architecture, control rationalization, or platform standardization efforts  Experience working effectively in remote or distributed teamsWhere: The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones.
