Job Duties and Responsibilities:Support Financial Analysis and BookkeepingProvide detailed financial management, analytical, and budgetary supportProvide program-specific analysis to support budget formulation, budget execution, and financial reporting processesProvide simple to moderate level accounting and finance support to various internal departments, including the preparation of forecasts, financial reports, reconciliations, and financial analysesTransactional duties include but are not limited to:Prepare, review, and input manual journal entriesReview and approve general ledger activity for account reconciliations and work papers in support of transactional detailsEnsure financial statements reconcile to accounting systems and subsidiary ledger detailPrepare and review monthly billing and vendor transactions for compliance and accuracyProvide Accounts Payable and Receivable support Support the development of the price component of bids and proposals to include an analysis on the profit and lossReporting duties include but are not limited to:Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal management and operational groups to include revenue and hours reports, hours goals, labor and expense statistics, program expenses, assets, etc.Compile various financial data for external customers on an ad hoc basisAnalyze and prepare data for reporting to Government agencies in support of agency required reports for 8(a), Hubzone, CVE verification, and otherForecasting & analytical duties include, but are not limited to:Review financial statementsInvestigate and resolve balance discrepancies and internal inquiries by researching and interpreting general ledger dataAssist in preparation of forecasts and provide variance analysis of actual performance against Annual Operating Plan (AOP) or ForecastsCalculate and validate bill rates for on-going processes and at start of new contract periodsAssist with budget preparation and financial planning processesAssist with budget review for compliance and identification of cost-saving opportunitiesUse, maintain and update a complex Excel tool and other applications used in forecasting and tracking financial results throughout the year to meet budget projectionsDevelop accurate and timely monthly reporting to support strategic decision-making based on financial analytics, raising issues and concerns as appropriatePrepare reports, tables, and charts that illustrate financial analysis results for assigned projectsPrepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. Verify accounts by reconciling statements and transactions for individual customers.
