Easy Business in Estonia has been appointed by a leading consulting company based in Estonia, a service provider within the e-Residency ecosystem, to manage the selection process for:
1 SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Our client supports digital entrepreneurs, e-residents and international companies in setting up and managing their business activities in Estonia, providing consulting, accounting, compliance and operational support services.
The company is growing and is looking for an experienced, precise and autonomous Senior Accountant who can manage accounting and tax activities for a portfolio of international clients, mainly Estonian companies owned by e-residents and entrepreneurs operating remotely.
Main Activities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
· managing the full accounting cycle for a portfolio of clients, mainly Estonian companies owned by e-residents and international entrepreneurs;
· handling bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, payroll and month-end closing activities;
· preparing and filing tax declarations, including TSD, KMD, VD and INF, through the Estonian Tax and Customs Board, EMTA;
· preparing and submitting annual reports to the Estonian Business Register, RIK, in accordance with the Estonian Accounting Act and applicable financial reporting standards;
· advising clients on Estonian tax obligations, including corporate income tax on distributions, VAT registration and reporting, reverse charge and OSS;
· reviewing and validating accounting documentation received from clients, ensuring completeness and accuracy before processing;
· supporting internal finance and accounting-related operations where required;
· contributing to the improvement of accounting workflows, internal tools and client service standards;
· flagging unusual or suspicious transactions to the compliance team in accordance with internal AML procedures;
· supporting the compliance function with accounting-related information during client due diligence or regulatory reviews.
Necessary Requirements
We are looking for a person with:
· proven experience as a Senior Accountant;
· strong knowledge of Estonian accounting law and VAT;
· experience with EU cross-border services and reverse charge VAT;
· good command of Excel for reconciliations, summaries and analysis;
· experience with payment providers such as Wise, Revolut, Stripe and PayPal;
· clear and professional communication skills in Estonian and English, both written and spoken;
· ability to explain accounting and tax topics in a simple way, including to non-technical clients;
· experience working with remote clients and team members.
Preferred Requirements
The following will be considered a plus:
· previous experience with Estonian e-resident clients and/or international companies;
· working knowledge of Odoo accounting software;
· experience with Microsoft 365, Teams and operational dashboards;
· knowledge of a second foreign language, such as Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, French or other languages.
