This role builds dashboards, performs exploratory analysis, and shapes how data is structured and presented across the organization to support informed decision-making.As the organization’s dedicated Analytics Engineer, this individual partners closely with Data Engineering and Product to ensure upstream data models support accurate, intuitive, and scalable reporting. The role combines hands-on development with collaborative influence to make data clear, usable, and impactful for internal teams.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and iterate on dashboards and analytical reports using enterprise BI and analytics platforms (eg Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Sisense)Develop calculations and analytical logic within BI tools to ensure accuracy, consistency, and performanceConduct exploratory and ad hoc analyses using SQL and Python to answer new or ambiguous business questionsWork alongside Data Engineers to review and influence warehouse models so they effectively support downstream reporting needsTranslate stakeholder questions into structured analyses and well designed reporting solutionsMove quickly to meet evolving business needs while maintaining high standards of precision and data integrityMaintain and organize BI environments, documentation, and reporting standardsPerform ad hoc requests as needed, working with stakeholders to merge frequent requests into the analytics domainApply new technologies, including AI, to meet the analysis and decision support needs of the organizationRequired QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or related field (or equivalent years of professional experience)ExperienceExperience delivering dashboards and analytical outputs in enterprise BI and analytics platforms (eg Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Sisense)Experience developing calculations or expressions within BI platforms (eg DAX, LookML, calculated fields or columns)Experience working with structured warehouse data and collaborating on data model improvementsSkillsWorking knowledge of SQL for querying and validating dataBaseline proficiency in Python for data exploration or visualizationStrong data visualization skills, with the ability to design dashboards that are clear, logically structured, and visually meaningfulStrong attention to detail and commitment to analytical accuracyAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively across technical and non technical teamsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsStrong experience with Power BI and DAX; comparable advanced experience in other BI platforms such as Looker, Tableau, or Sisense will also be consideredExperience working with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehousesExperience contributing to reporting standards, governance practices, or documentation frameworksComfort operating in a growing data environment where processes and standards are still evolvingTeam Working StyleHighly collaborative across Data Engineering, Product, and business stakeholdersValues intellectual curiosity, precision, and a genuine enjoyment of working with dataMoves quickly and pragmatically while maintaining high standards of accuracy, quality and clarityPhysical Requirements and Work EnvironmentAbility to sit for extended periods while working at a computerOffice setting with remote or hybrid flexibilityMinimal travel required, occasional team meetings or company eventsAdditional InformationThis job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the position and is not an exhaustive list of skills, efforts, duties, responsibilities, or working conditions associated with it.
