About the Company: Sagan represents a growing accounting firm supporting a complex, multi location restaurant group based in Memphis, Tennessee. The client operates multiple restaurant entities along with an e commerce component and requires strong financial discipline, clean processes, and accurate reporting across locations. Position Overview: We are seeking a Restaurant Staff or Senior Accountant with strong restaurant industry experience to support a multi location restaurant client in a fast paced environment. This role will focus on transactional accuracy, reconciliations, accrual based accounting, and month end close, while working within structured systems and established workflows. Experience with Restaurant 365 is strongly preferred. Candidates with NetSuite experience or deep restaurant accounting experience using other integrated systems will also be considered. Key Responsibilities: Code and review bank feeds within the accounting system. Perform weekly and monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations. Reconcile POS sales to the general ledger. Prepare accruals, prepaids, and recurring journal entries. Support payroll related accounting entries and reconciliations. Assist with month end close and ensure deadlines are consistently met. Maintain clean documentation and follow established SOPs. Support multi entity and multi location reporting accuracy. Qualifications: 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within restaurant or hospitality environments. Strong understanding of accrual accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close. Experience working with restaurant focused accounting systems or POS integrated environments. Ability to manage high volume transactional data with accuracy. High attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote setting. Strongly Preferred: Hands on experience with Restaurant 365. Experience with NetSuite, especially in complex multi entity environments. Multi location restaurant accounting exposure. Experience supporting clients with both brick and mortar and e commerce operations. Nice-to-Haves: Experience managing the full month end close process for multi location restaurants. We will take experience with a single location restaurant, but ideally looking for multi location experience. Any e-commerce experience related to restaurants would be a very nice plus, but not essential.
