At Empire Workforce Solutions?, we are building something big — and we’re looking for a driven, high-performing Skilled Trades Recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.If you know how to recruit electricians, carpenters, concrete workers, laborers, welders, plumbers, HVAC technicians, heavy equipment operators, and other skilled trades professionals — and enjoy the challenge of filling critical roles for active jobsites — we want to talk to you.What You’ll Be Responsible for:Source, recruit, screen, interview, and onboard skilled trades professionals for commercial, industrial, civil, and specialty construction projectsBuild and maintain a strong pipeline of field talent to support immediate orders, emergency fills, and project ramp-upsRecruit for high-demand positions including: Electricians; Carpenters (Rough & Finish); Skilled Laborers; Plumbers & Pipefitters; Welders & Fabricators; HVAC Technicians; Heavy Equipment Operators; Concrete & General Construction TradesOwn the Recruiting ProcessFill open job orders with urgency while maintaining quality and complianceConduct candidate screening, reference checks, onboarding, orientation, and employment verificationEnsure candidates meet required certifications, PPE requirements, and jobsite expectationsManage attendance, employee relations, no-shows, call-offs, and redeployment opportunitiesPartner with Operations & Sales: Work closely with account managers and leadership to anticipate hiring demandsSupport large workforce deployments, shutdowns, same-day requests, and project expansionsHelp maintain workforce continuity for critical construction schedulesBuild Relationships that Drive Retention: Create strong relationships with field employees and clientsImprove employee retention, redeployment, and workforce engagementBecome a trusted workforce partner to both candidates and contractorsYou thrive in this role if you:Move with urgency and can handle high-volume recruitingAre comfortable balancing multiple priorities and changing demandsUnderstand construction jobsites and skilled trades terminologyLove solving staffing challenges and finding talent quicklyAre highly organized, proactive, and performance-drivenTake pride in helping keep major construction projects staffed and operationalQualifications2+ years of recruiting experience preferred in: Skilled Trades Staffing; Construction Staffing; Light Industrial Staffing; Workforce SolutionsStrong sourcing and recruiting skillsExperience using ATS systems, recruiting platforms, and job boardsAbility to manage high-volume requisitions in a deadline-driven environmentBilingual Spanish is a plus, but not requiredTop performers are rewarded for speed, quality, retention, and successful workforce deployment.If you’re competitive, relationship-driven, and passionate about recruiting skilled trades talent in a fast-paced environment — we’d love to meet you.
