Blue Recruitment Personnel is recruiting for a skilled Vehicle Service Technician for a permanent position in the Epsom area, offering a salary of £34,000 per year.The Role: You will join a professional automotive workshop, carrying out vehicle servicing, repairs, and maintenance to keep customers’ vehicles safe, reliable, and performing properly. This is a practical, hands-on position for an experienced technician who can confidently join a busy workshop and contribute from the outset.Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:30Key Responsibilities:Complete scheduled servicing, maintenance and repair work across a range of vehiclesCarry out mechanical repairs in line with manufacturer guidance and workshop proceduresSupport vehicle inspections and identify work required to meet safety and roadworthiness standardsUse hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment safely and correctlyAssist with electrical fault-finding and repair work where requiredPrepare accurate job cards and records of servicing, repairs and parts usedMaintain a clean, organised and safe working areaCommunicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and customers regarding completed work and identified repairsContribute to efficient workshop operations and meet agreed quality standardsRequirements:Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalentProven vehicle servicing and repair experience within a UK main-dealer environmentStrong mechanical knowledge and practical workshop skillsExperience working with automotive electrical systemsCompetent and safe use of hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipmentOwn toolsStrong attention to detail and a methodical approach to record-keepingAbility to manage workload independently and work effectively as part of a workshop teamPermanent right to live and work in the UKSuitable Experience: This role would suit a Vehicle Technician, Service Technician, Motor Mechanic or Light Vehicle Technician with relevant main-dealer workshop experience.
