Responsibilities

• Focus on developing a deep expertise in a core language and engineering concepts as well as gaining awareness of others. • Work effectively in the areas outside the core skill set. Expert for the project being worked on. • Write production quality and maintainable code following well defined guidelines and best practices. • Create projects from scratch with little or no help. Suggest tools and libraries to the Architecture team. • Design and writes code often for not well-defined engineering tasks. Suggest proven improvements to design and architecture. • Understand overall project architecture and involves in breakdown of high level non-technical requirements into technical tasks. • Understand and makes well-reasoned design decisions and trade-offs in the solution area being worked on. • Understand overall project and reviews code, provide expert guidance in the code review comments. • Design test framework, write unit and integration tests. Analyze requirements and creates tasks for other engineers in the team. • Document and suggest improvements to design and architecture based on the issue resolution. • Actively look for security vulnerabilities in the code, in code reviews and in the project design. • Involved with Sprint and Drive planning. • Involved with providing estimates and helping team members with it. Have a very good understanding of nitty gritties while estimating effort.
