Now, we're focused on upcoming elections across the country and innovative methods for empowering communities to hold elected officials accountable and take effective action year-round. BallotReady is looking for Contract Researchers to join our team in bringing an unparalleled database on U.S. government to voters and constituents nationwide. The Contract Researchers will be responsible for researching elections, candidates, elected positions, and current office holders. The ideal candidate must have attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to communicate clearly and proactively. Comfort navigating ambiguity is also essential for this role. At BallotReady, we value flexibility in exchange for responsibility and encourage interested applicants to explore our core values. This is a part-time contract role with a pay rate of $15/hour. Applicants must be able to commit to approximately 15-20 hours per week and have their own computer, internet access, and phone. Responsibilities: - Researching elections at various levels, from national to local special district level - Researching candidates for selected elections, including experience, qualifications, incumbent status, and issue stances - Researching elected positions and current office holders - Meeting deadlines with excellent time management and personal organization - Communicating clearly and proactively as needed - Navigating ambiguity and creative research methods
