With our powerful and integrated digital tools, expert support, and leading insurance products, we empower advisors to better serve their clients, grow their businesses, and bring the future of the industry to life.We are a high-growth, AI-driven brokerage backed by $35M from top-tier investors, including Thrive Capital (major investors in OpenAI, Stripe, Instagram, Spotify, Slack, and SpaceX), New York Life, and Northwestern Mutual.We're hiring a Private Client Manager to drive the full lifecycle of life insurance business development and case advisory for Modern Life's platform. In this role, you'll build relationships with advisory firm principals, counsel their clients on life insurance solutions, and drive cases from initial design through in-force placement. You'll also develop the firm acquisition pipeline — identifying, educating, and onboarding new partners onto the platform. You'll collaborate closely with the CEO on early partnerships while building toward independent execution and a repeatable, scalable process. This is a role for someone who combines deep life insurance expertise with a business development mindset. You'll have real ownership and the space to shape how this function works — we're looking for someone who brings both technical knowledge and commercial drive.What You'll Do:Counsel advisory firm clients on full-cycle life insurance — including policy reviews, case design, underwriting, and placement through in-force deliveryDevelop and manage the firm acquisition pipeline: research and identify target firms, build relationships with principals, educate them on the platform, and guide them through onboardingServe as a trusted life insurance resource for generalist advisors — delivering educational content on fundamentals, trusts, and planning concepts to establish credibility and attract firms to the platformRepresent Modern Life at industry events and cultivate relationships across the RIA and wealth management communityCollaborate with the CEO on early partnerships, gradually taking greater ownership of the deal cycle as the process maturesDesign and refine the outreach and onboarding workflow, building a framework the team can scale onWork cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations to ensure new firm partners have a seamless experienceDrive toward closed partnerships, a healthy pipeline, and a growing book of active cases within the first six monthsWho You Are7+ years of experience in private client services, wholesale distribution, advisory firm partnerships, or a related relationship-driven role in financial servicesStrong technical knowledge of life insurance products, underwriting, case design, and policy placement — you can drive the full case lifecycle.You've built and maintained a book of business or partnership portfolio and know what it takes to develop relationships from introduction to long-term partnershipYou have a strong understanding of the independent advisor landscape, how they evaluate platforms, what matters to them, and what gets in their wayYou're a clear, confident communicator who builds trust quickly and is credible in a room full of RIA principalsYou're energized by building something new and contributing to how a growing company goes to marketWorking knowledge of wealth management, financial planning, and the intersection with life insurance distribution
