About the roleClassDojo is hiring a Staff Analytics Engineer to own and evolve the analytics data layer—so teams across ClassDojo can rely on high-quality, trusted data to make decisions. In the near term, you’ll take ownership of core data models, improve data quality, and ensure consistency across key metrics. Over time, you’ll help shape how analytics evolves at ClassDojo by introducing AI-assisted workflows and enabling faster, more intuitive access to insights.You’ll partner closely with product, engineering, and data stakeholders to define and maintain the datasets that power decision-making. You’ll also identify opportunities to increase leverage through better models, improved tooling, and AI-driven capabilities.What you’ll doOwn and maintain core data models that power product and business insightsImprove data quality, consistency, and trust across key datasets and metricsDesign scalable, well-structured data models that enable self-serve analyticsIntroduce and operationalize AI-assisted workflows to accelerate insight generationIdentify inefficiencies and build tools or processes to improve analytics velocityPartner with stakeholders to translate business questions into reliable data solutionsContribute to the evolution of analytics practices and standards across the companyYou will be a match ifHave strong experience in analytics engineering, data modeling, and SQLTake ownership of data quality and care deeply about accuracy and consistencyThink of datasets and metrics as products that require maintenance and stewardshipAre excited about applying AI to improve analytics workflows and insight generationHave a builder mindset and proactively improve systems and processesCan design scalable, maintainable data models and standardsCommunicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersCompensationClassDojo considers geographic location, experience, and skillset when determining compensation. Salary ranges (United States): CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT states: $175,000 - $235,000 (USD). All other states in the US: $150,000 - $200,000 (USD).Work locationClassDojo is a distributed company and hires regardless of location, as long as you are willing to have significant hours overlap with one of the Americas time zones.
