Requirements and responsibilities


Position: Lighting Specialist (GAFFER). Location: São Paolo, Brazil. Work Model: On-site. Employment Type: Full-time. Duties and Responsibilities: - Support the setup, installation, and operation of professional lighting equipment for studio and on-location productions. - Assemble, position, and maintain lighting gear including Fresnels, LED panels, fluorescent tubes, HMIs, dimmers, ballasts, modifiers, and support systems. - Manage lighting cables and DMX connections, ensuring proper organization, labeling, and maintenance. - Assist with lighting focus, adjustments, and technical setup during rehearsals and recordings. - Troubleshoot and support resolution of basic technical and lighting-related issues. - Maintain organization, inventory, and upkeep of lighting equipment and technical storage areas. - Follow on-set safety procedures and technical communication protocols. - Collaborate closely with the Lighting Department and production teams within fast-paced audiovisual environments. - Support production operations during rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays when required. Requirements: - Native/fluent in Portuguese, both verbal and written. - Fluent in English (at least B2 level). - Basic to intermediate knowledge of professional lighting systems within film, television, events, or audiovisual productions. - Experience assembling and handling technical or audiovisual equipment. - Ability to work effectively within team-oriented and high-pressure production environments. - Physical ability to lift and handle technical equipment. - Availability to work flexible schedules including night shifts, weekends, and holidays. - Basic knowledge of electricity, DMX systems, lighting control, or cinematography concepts is considered an advantage. - Technical or vocational education in Audiovisuals, Electronics, Electricity, or a related field is preferred. - Proactive, responsible, and motivated attitude with a willingness to learn and develop technically.
