BerryDunn is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to join our Medicaid consulting team. As part of our consulting team focused on supporting state Medicaid agencies, you will work within Medicaid policy to help agencies implement new programs and administer their current program. You’ll be the success partner for Medicaid agencies in building healthier communities and stronger futures.Your initial work will be in support of our client in West Virginia, leading the implementation of home and community-based services (HCBS) projects such as 1915(c) waiver applications and federal reporting, Ensuring Access to Medicaid Services Final Rule (Access Rule) requirements, HCBS Quality Measure Set implementation, as well as HCBS program cohesion and redesign.You will work remotely, hybrid, or in one of our offices, helping clients nationally. You will report to and partner with management team members and our Medicaid subject matter experts for both client work and career development. With a growth mindset, you will drive your own development and partner with junior staff to support their development.Travel Expectations: Travel to client sites can range up to 50%You WillLead one or more client policy initiative(s) with a team that will engage in activities such as policy analysis and recommendations, facilitating client meetings, action item and decision management, deliverable development, and project progress tracking and reporting (client work)Drive your development through an annual process that supports your growth goal in partnership with your supervisor and BerryDunn’s learning and development team (staff development)Participate in new business development through activities such as research, supporting proposal content, or developing marketing materials (business development)You HaveSeven years of relevant experience, including three or more years working for a state Medicaid agency supporting policy initiatives or as a consultant directly to a state Medicaid agency.Experience with the HCBS Quality measures set and/or Medicaid quality management and measurementDirect experience working with Medicaid authorities such as state plan services, HCBS waivers, Medicaid program implementation, as well as federal compliance and reporting.Experience analyzing regulations and sub-regulatory guidance to inform the direction of the Medicaid program along with managing projects and initiatives to implement program changes to comply with the regulationExperience managing workplans, timelines, and projects including deliverables, operational and administrative tasks, risk, and client communicationPreferred: Experience developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and client outcomesPreferred: Experience conducting training sessions for staff and interested parties on HCBS policies, procedures, and best practicesPreferred: CMS Waiver Management System (WMS), Medicaid Model Data Lab (MMDL), and MACPro portalsCompensation DetailsThe base salary range targeted for this role is $110,000 - $125,000. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on factors such as company and personal performance. This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications more than the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply, and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
