Responsibilities

Agency of the Ozarks is a fast-growing U.S.-based digital agency focused on clean code, bold design, and measurable impact. We build high-performance websites for brands that want to stand out in their niche online. To expand our template library, we are opening a hybrid position in Medellín. You’ll be able to code from wherever you work best and join the team once a week in person (Poblado area) to exchange ideas, present your work, and collaborate. Job Responsibilities * Design and build modular website templates and starter themes for: * Eleventy + Nunjucks * Webflow (component-driven and cloneable-friendly builds) * WordPress (lightweight, block-ready themes) * JAMstack projects hosted on Netlify * Use VS Code and AI tools such as Google Gemini or Rocode AI to streamline scaffolding, linting, and component refactoring. * Document setup and hand-off instructions so junior developers and non-technical clients can deploy efficiently. * Stay current with modern build tools, accessibility best practices, and performance budgets. * Collaborate with U.S.-based project managers through Slack and Trello; use GitHub for version control and deploy previews for feedback. Must-Have Skills * Proven experience building templates or theme frameworks in at least two of the technologies listed above. * Comfortable with modern HTML, CSS (SCSS or Tailwind), and JavaScript or TypeScript. * Practical knowledge of Git and GitHub workflows. * Ability to read and write in English, as our documentation and team communication are in English. * Enjoyment of focused coding sessions, producing pixel-perfect results. Nice-to-Have Skills * Experience with animations using GSAP or Framer Motion. * Proficiency in converting Figma designs to code. * Basic knowledge of SEO and Core Web Vitals optimization. * Bilingual editing skills (English ↔ Spanish). What You’ll Get * Hybrid flexibility: work from home, cafés, or hammocks—just attend the weekly in-person collaboration session. * Competitive contractor pay in Colombia, paid in USD. * Access to Agency of the Ozarks’ AI tools (Gemini Pro, Claude, GPT-4o, and more). * Clear growth path to lead template architect or full client-site builds. * A chill, ego-free culture that values delivery, learning, and the occasional arepa run.
