Here's your chance to contribute to our mission of enabling entrepreneurs to thrive while enjoying the flexibility of remote work. ✅ Responsibilities: ◽ Key role in month-end close and general ledger maintenance. ◽Identify system processes and control gaps. ◽Work with payroll processor and HR team to ensure all state and local tax returns are filed, and the ERP system is up to date. ◽Assist with audits. ◽Prepare monthly accruals and prepaid expenses and adjust entries as needed. ◽Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue. ◽Preparation of weekly cash burn. ◽Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. ◽Execute month-end close journal entries with little supervision. ◽Foster a collaborative team environment, ensuring strong customer service is provided. ◽Suggest process improvements to facilitate streamlining and automation. ◽Perform special tasks and projects about functional responsibilities or other areas as needed. ⚠️ Requirements: ◽Higher education degree that is equivalent to a US Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (Flexible if candidates have great experience). ◽1+ years’ experience in accounting/finance for a US-based company with similar functions to the responsibilities listed for the role. ◽A total of 3+ years of experience in accounting. ◽Experience with US GAAP and US financial reporting. ◽Proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize quickly, organize teams, and deliver results. ◽Ability to work effectively with various departments outside of Finance. ◽Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. ◽Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, changing environment and anticipate future needs. ◽Experience with US ERPs. Ideally, Intacct. ◽A roll-up-your-sleeves and jump-in-where-needed attitude. ◽Demonstrated ability to excel in a remote work environment, including maintaining self-discipline, managing time effectively, and ensuring consistent productivity without direct supervision. ◽This opening is available for candidates located in Latin America. 🚀 Bonus Qualifications: ◽Public Accounting experience. ◽Current CPA or CPA-eligible. ◽Experience creating accounting memos and process documentation. ◽Technology industry experience is a plus. ◽Experience operating with a high degree of autonomy. ◽Experience with SOX Compliance and Internal Control Testing. ◽Ability to interpret and convey complex accounting guidance to non-accountants.
