We’re excited to push the boundaries of commercial insurance and are looking for enthusiastic team members to help us reimagine insurance.We are actively hiring for a Commercial Consultant, Claims Insights - Remote!Your Role: As a Commercial Insurance Consultant – Claims Insights, you will play a critical role in transforming data into decision‑ready insights that drive business performance, portfolio management, and risk outcomes. You will be responsible for performing complex analyses to inform data‑driven decisions, identifying trends, evaluating performance, and developing recommendations to address key business challenges. In this role, you will combine insurance domain knowledge, analytical expertise, and technical skills to extract actionable insights, shape data foundations, and foster a data‑driven culture.Your Work: SME charged with identifying emerging trends and issues. Works in highly consultative role and presents issues to senior management. Typically assigned to complex, cross-functional projects and provides mentorship and training to less seasoned team members.Perform complex data analysis for Commercial Claims aligned to business and portfolio objectivesProvides interpretation and insight on proposals. Evaluates findings and guides outcome (cause-effect-effort to implement). Role is to be business consultant to client.Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches and actionable insightsTypes of analyses may range from, but not limited to, root cause, cost benefit, performance tracking, forecasting, and exploration, with a strong focus on generating actionable insightsIdentify and interpret trends, risks, and opportunities impacting client and portfolio performanceFormulate data‑driven recommendations to improve operational efficiency, loss outcomes, and business strategyCollaborate with partners across Claims, Product, Underwriting, Actuarial, Finance, and Technology to define problems and deliver solutionsDrive alignment effectively communicating insights, conclusions, and recommended actions to senior leadershipBuild strong relationships to support adoption and execution of insightsContribute to building and enhancing data pipelines, reporting frameworks, and analytical standardsHelp establish consistent metric definitions, governance, and scalable analytics practicesSupport the development of AI‑enabled and automated analytics capabilitiesLeverage Industry data and knowledge to evaluate the results in relation with IndustryProvide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to junior analystsContribute to team success by fostering a collaborative, curious, and high‑performing cultureStellar research, analytical skills and ability to present to various management levels and train staff on logic used in new tools, approaches to market changes, responding to legislative changesRequired Experience, Education and Skills8+ years of directly related analytical experience in a related industry required.Bachelor's degree in mathematics, business, statistics, economics, computer science or equivalent combination of education and experienceExpert in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL (Snowflake preferred), Visual Basic, data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and various structured analysis and design techniques.Superior research, statistical, analytical, data processing and mathematical skills with ability to structure and conduct analyses.Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience essential.Ability to conduct meetings and deliver formal presentationsSkills to coach, mentor, evaluate and provide training, guidance and constructive feedback to staffStrong oral and written communication skills.Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, Visual Basic, data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and various structured analysis and design techniques.Expert knowledge of insurance, accounting and rate-making concepts.Strong ability to independently solve technical challenges by leveraging online resources.Demonstrated analytical agility and curiosity.
