You are someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-centric technical environment where no two projects look exactly alike.The objective of this role is to ensure every generator we onboard is set up with the correct hardware and software to become a reliable, revenue-generating asset. You will serve as the project manager for all hardware onboarding and upgrade projects. You will work across AGent's internal teams, customers, third-party contractors, and utilities to ensure strong communication among all stakeholders and on-time project completion.This is primarily a project management and technical oversight role, but you should be comfortable getting hands-on with installations when the situation calls for it. More importantly, this is a ground-floor opportunity: you will help build the protocols, systems and contractor network to help the team scale field operations faster every year.ResponsibilitiesProject Management & OnboardingManage all project phases for every generator onboarded in your assigned region onto the AGent platform: from kickoff through validation and go-liveLead kickoff activities with each customer and build a tailored project plan for every facilityServe as the connective tissue across all stakeholders, customers, utilities, third-party contractors, and internal AGent teams, ensuring clear communication and timely delivery at every phaseValidate hardware connectivity and platform integration for each facility, ensuring every asset is healthy and market-readyBuild and continuously improve kickoff meeting and onboarding project protocols that allow the team to deploy projects faster year over yearTechnical Leadership & Customer SuccessServe as the technical SME for customers throughout the onboarding process and beyond; defining and building project plans with confidence and clarityMaintain a customer-centric approach across all project phases, ensuring customers feel supported and informed at every stepAct as a technical advisor to the GTM team: helping Sales understand hardware requirements, customer site considerations, and onboarding timelinesOwn relationships with critical utility members and build the trusted contractor network AGent relies on in the fieldHardware Operations & AlertingEnsure customer generators remain connected, maintained, and healthy after onboarding. Our objective is to have a portfolio of reliable assets that perform when markets callBuild an alert system with the engineering team to proactively surface hardware or connectivity issues before they affect performanceSupport the hardware alerting protocol including repair cases, troubleshooting workflows, and resolution trackingCross-Functional Partnership & ScalingWork closely with the field engineering team and engineering team to continuously improve AGent's hardware and software products and expand field hardware optionsHelp build the systems and protocols that allows field operations to scaleQualificationsRequiredElectrical engineering degree or equivalent hands-on field experience3+ years of project management experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneouslyExperience working with utilities: you understand how they operate and have built relationships within themDeep experience with generator sets (gensets) and their automatic transfer switches (ATS)Willingness to travel 25-40% of the month depending on the seasonDemonstrated aptitude for troubleshooting and creative problem solving in the fieldExceptional attention to detail and strong self-initiative: you don't wait to be told what needs to happen nextAbility to communicate complex technical concepts clearly, both verbally and in writingComfortable working independently in a remote environment with a high degree of autonomyValid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites as neededPreferredExperience in the virtual power plant, distributed power plant, or DER aggregation industryFamiliarity with wholesale energy market participation and the operational requirements it creates for field assetsExperience building contractor networks or vendor relationships in the fieldLocated in Texas, Louisiana, Mid West or the Mid Atlantic.
