Experienced Tax Preparer – Remote MLS Finance & Tax is seeking experienced tax preparers to join our growing Tax Pro Network for the upcoming tax season. This opportunity is ideal for tax professionals who already have tax preparation experience and want access to a professional tax environment, flexible scheduling, training resources, and opportunities to expand their client base. Responsibilities Prepare accurate federal and state individual income tax returns Review client tax documents for completeness and accuracy Conduct client interviews and gather required tax information Maintain compliance with IRS due-diligence requirements Communicate professionally with clients regarding their tax returns Protect confidential taxpayer information Stay current on applicable tax-law updates Participate in required software, compliance, and operational training Assist with client retention and business-development activities Qualifications Active PTIN preferred Previous individual tax preparation experience Working knowledge of Form 1040 and common individual tax schedules Strong attention to detail Excellent client-service and communication skills Ability to work independently in a remote environment Commitment to IRS compliance and due diligence Reliable internet access and computer equipment Schedule Remote with flexible scheduling during tax season. Seasonal availability may increase between January and April. Compensation Compensation is production-based and depends on the applicable preparer agreement, completed tax returns, and services performed. Specific compensation details will be discussed during the interview process. Performance Incentives Qualified tax preparers may also be eligible for additional seasonal performance incentives, including a vacation or travel incentive for meeting designated production and performance goals. Eligibility requirements, qualifying production levels, travel terms, availability, and any applicable restrictions will be provided separately. Professional Growth Qualified tax professionals may have opportunities for additional training, leadership responsibilities, client development, and advancement within the MLS Tax Pro Network.
