Mobile App Developer Intern (Equity-Based) | Remote
Glix.com is looking for a motivated, creative, and growth-minded *Mobile App Developer Intern to join our remote startup team and help design, develop, test, and improve mobile applications.
IMPORTANT: This is an EQUITY-BASED internship role. It is NOT a salaried or paid position. No salary or hourly compensation is offered. The selected candidate will receive equity-based compensation in exchange for their contribution, subject to mutually agreed terms and conditions.
About the Role
As a Mobile App Developer Intern, you will contribute to the development and improvement of mobile applications for Glix.com. You will collaborate with the development and product teams to build user-friendly, responsive, and reliable mobile experiences.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants *hands-on startup experience*, practical mobile development skills, creative ownership, and the opportunity to contribute to an early-stage company through an equity-based arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, test, and maintain mobile applications for Android and/or iOS platforms.
* Build user-friendly and responsive mobile app interfaces.
*Collaborate with the product, design, and development teams to understand project requirements.
* Write clean, organized, maintainable, and reusable code.
* Integrate APIs and backend services into mobile applications.
* Work with databases, authentication systems, and other app functionalities as needed.
* Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and performance issues.
* Test applications across different devices and screen sizes.
* Optimize application performance, usability, and reliability.
* Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.
* Research new mobile development technologies, tools, and frameworks.
* Contribute ideas to improve app features, user experience, and overall product quality.
* Document development processes and communicate progress with the team.
What We're Looking For
* Strong interest in mobile app development and software engineering.
* Basic knowledge of at least one mobile development technology, such as Flutter, React Native, Kotlin, Swift, or native Android/iOS development.
* Understanding of programming fundamentals and object-oriented programming concepts.
* Familiarity with APIs, JSON, and client-server communication.
* Basic understanding of UI/UX principles and mobile application design.
* Familiarity with Git and version control is a plus.
* Ability to troubleshoot problems and learn new technologies independently.
* Good communication and collaboration skills.
* Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a remote environment.
* A startup mindset with a willingness to learn, experiment, take ownership, and contribute to real-world projects.
* Previous mobile app development experience or a portfolio of projects is a plus but not required.
