Job title: Customer Support Intern Type: Internship, part-time, 10-20 hours per week, 3-6 months Location: Remote, worldwide Compensation: Unpaid internship with a defined path to a paid contract or full-time role after a 3-month performance review. Academic credit supported where a school allows it. About the company: Melora Connect is association management software built for small associations and chambers of commerce - organizations under 500 members who have been priced out of or buried by the enterprise platforms. The product is built. We are a small team putting it in front of its first customers, which means everyone here works on things that matter immediately rather than on practice projects. Why this role exists: Our customers are associations run by one or two people. When something goes wrong, it goes wrong at 4pm the day before a board meeting, and the person emailing us is not technical and is already stressed. For this segment, how fast and how kindly we answer is the product. It is also where we learn what to build next - support tickets are the most honest product feedback that exists. What you will do: - Answer front-line email and chat. You will be trained on the product first and you will always have someone to escalate to. Nobody gets thrown at an angry customer alone. - Build the help center from nothing. Every question you answer well becomes an article. Over three months you would be building the entire self-serve documentation layer of the company. - Write the canned responses and templates that make future answers fast and consistent. - Triage and reproduce bugs, then write them up clearly enough that they can be fixed without a follow-up conversation. - Track the themes. What are people confused by over and over? That is the most valuable thing you will produce. Honest framing on stage: we are early, so ticket volume is low right now. Early on this role is more help-center building and process setup than firefighting. If you want high-volume support experience immediately, this is not that yet. If you want to be the person who designed how support works before the volume arrived, it is a rare opening. Who we are looking for: You write clearly and warmly under mild pressure - the hardest part of support is not knowing the answer, it is delivering it to someone having a bad afternoon. You are patient with non-technical users and do not condescend. You are organized enough to keep a queue clean without being chased. You are curious about the product rather than just the ticket. No support experience required; retail, hospitality, teaching, and front-desk backgrounds transfer better than people expect. Students, recent graduates, and career changers are encouraged. Applicants worldwide welcome. What you get: a published help center with your work in it, real customer-facing B2B SaaS experience, structured training through our Melora Institute curriculum, direct access to the founder, and a substantive written reference. Skills required: written communication, technical writing, documentation, customer support, problem solving, fluent English. Nice to have: help desk or ticketing tools, HubSpot.
