Requirements and responsibilities

Role: Lead Clinical Social Worker Department: Psychosocial Services Licence: DOH eligibility (mandatory) Preferred candidates: UK, Ireland, Western Europe (Netherlands Germany Scandinavian) UAE, GCC Responsibilities: • High-quality biopsychosocial assessment, care coordination, and evidence- informed interventions for adults with complex mental health and addiction presentations • Risk, safeguarding, and crisis response, including suicide risk assessment, safety planning, trauma-informed interventions, and escalation pathways • Multidisciplinary team (MDT) working, collaborating closely with psychiatry, psychology, nursing, and allied health professionals • Discharge planning and aftercare, including family engagement, community liaison, and continuity of care • Professional leadership and supervision of social workers / trainees, including reflective practice and capability development • Governance, documentation, and compliance in line with UAE legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements Mandatory Requirements: • BSc in Social Work • Master’s degree in Social Work • 5+ years post-qualification experience in adult mental health (addiction experience strongly preferred) • Eligibility for DoH (Abu Dhabi) licensure
