IT Technical Intern at FLIR

We are looking for an IT Technical Intern who is currently enrolled in a 2 to 4-year college or university, majoring in a technical field directly related to the Intern opportunity available. The intern will work either full or part time in a department related to their field of study, working on special technical projects or assignments. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of computer hardware, networking, and software installation and configuration. This internship offers the opportunity to gain worthwhile work experience and make an impact in a dynamic and innovative company. Responsibilities: - Perform various technical tasks and projects based on departmental needs. - Work on special technical projects or assignments related to the intern's field of study. - Install and configure Windows 10 and Windows 11 Professional on a computer. - Understand and work with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Office 365 and Office 2019. - Demonstrate knowledge of networking, network clients, network cabling, and Active Directory (AD). - Experience with computer hardware, including removing and replacing hard drives and RAM. - Install and de-install anti-virus software. - Adhere to safety and security procedures, including using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and reporting potentially unsafe conditions.
