Your mission is to help commercial real estate, government, education, and manufacturing organizations achieve their operational and climate goals by delivering a market-leading energy and carbon management platform.The Product Manager, Energy is a key member of the Product Management team and, in partnership with Engineering, responsible for executing on the strategy, vision, and roadmap for Brightly’s energy and ESG management platform.What you’ll be doingDevelop business and market requirement documents, and work with your peers to translate these requirements to inform the roadmap and execution plan.Become a subject matter expert in energy data management for buildings, and develop an understanding of target markets and users to guide product decisions.Decompose market requirements into detailed functional product requirements (user stories and acceptance criteria) that enable engineering to build it and QA to test it in an Agile environment.Serve in the role of Product Owner in an agile development environment, including developing and maintaining a robust backlog and writing/refining user stories.Assist Senior Product team members with tasks across the product portfolio and launch process, including research, requirements validation, competitive analysis, usage analysis, etc.Communicate priorities and goals at the beginning of each sprint in accordance with release goals, roadmap, and associated timelines/dependencies.Champion the customer experience and partner with UX/design, product counterparts, and professional services to deliver delightful user experiences across all customer touchpoints.Establish and foster key relationships with clients and domain experts to leverage in meeting market needs.What does success look like?Collaborate with business stakeholders: Actively listen to strategy and needs from sales, professional services, and management roles. Transform those needs into product designs, discrete features, and requirements while staying aligned to higher-priority market needs; keep teams informed and involved throughout product development.Design for users: Communicate directly and regularly with internal and external stakeholders to understand workflows, mindsets, and experiences. Serve as a voice of the customer, incorporating client feedback into requirements, designs, and feature roadmaps, and work closely with UX/design to deliver high-quality user experiences.Work well with software engineers: Be savvy with technology (databases, mobile applications, cloud-based software, web development, etc.) and participate in interactive discussions with Engineering to ensure short- and long-term roadmap requirements are achieved.What you needMinimum 1–3 years of product management and/or energy management experience with an Enterprise SaaS solution, platform, marketplace, or other software-led product in an Agile B2B environment.
