Requirements and responsibilities

ResponsibilitiesConduct customer discovery meetings to determine reporting requirementsUnderstand and work with customer on Power BI Licensing, and understand the limits/advantages of each licensing platformCreate well performing star schema data models for use with Power BI, including proper calculated columns and measuresCreating Power BI solutions for customers including importing data from multiple sources, building reports and dashboards, and creating appropriate data elements using DAX and source queriesGuide customers on deploying Power BI solutions to the Power BI service (Gateways, DirectQuery, DataFlows, Data Updates)QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer, engineering, data science or a related field; or equivalent work experience5+ years working with data and business intelligence solutions on the Microsoft tool stack for Business Intelligence (SSRS, Power BI, or PowerPivot (Excel) or PerformancePoint), or other vendor Business Intelligence tools (Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Qlik, SAP)Working knowledge of TSQL, data modeling, reporting using Power BI or other Microsoft toolsExperience creating complete Power BI report solutions based on business questions with linked content, drilldowns, and nested parametersDynamic measure designs using advanced DAX techniquesKnowledge of data mashups and transformations using Power Query/M languageUtilize Databricks platform to develop, implement, and optimize data pipelines and workflows.Ability to report visual choices and visual interactionsDesign, develop and implement user interfaces to ensure ease of use and minimal knowledge by the functional work group that will be using the databaseAbility to gather requirements and conduct focus groups to determine the processes needed to assist and grow the businessProfessional Skills:Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environmentExcellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills for both technical and nontechnical teamsPassionate about learning new technologiesAnalytical approach to problem-solving; ability to use technology to solve business problemsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAdditional Preferred Experience:Power BI tenant and workspace management to support development, testing and deploymentExperience with analytics and custom visualizations for Power BI using Python, RAdvanced SQL including some query tuningExperience in the identification of data qualityExperience deploying Power BI solutions to the Power BI Report Server (on-premises)Experience deploying Power BI solutions using Power BI EmbeddedDeploying cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure data services including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL DBAdditional Details:Work arrangement: Remote with equipment providedWork schedule: 5PM - 2AM Monday - Friday
