Do you follow what is happening in the AI content space and have ideas about how it connects to culture and politics?Vocal Media is looking for an AI Social Media Content Intern to support our growing team of Social Media Managers in producing and publishing AI-generated content across TikTok and Instagram Reels. This is a hands-on role where you will learn the tools, workflows, and strategies behind high-volume AI content production while contributing to accounts with real audiences and real impact.ResponsibilitiesContent SupportAssist in producing short-form AI-generated videos for TikTok and Instagram Reels using tools like HeyGen, Higgsfield, ElevenLabs, and CapCutHelp source and develop content ideas rooted in AI trends, news, politics, and cultureWrite and edit captions and post copy that match each account's voice and platform styleSupport scheduling and publishing across multiple AI-themed accountsLearning and ResearchTrack emerging AI tools, trends, and platform algorithm updates and share findings with the teamResearch relevant news and cultural moments to inform content calendarsAssist in monitoring basic performance metrics and flagging what is workingCollaborationWork closely with Social Media Managers and content leadership on weekly prioritiesParticipate in team check-ins and contribute ideas to content strategy discussionsSupport cross-account initiatives as neededWhat We Are Looking For Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student, preferably in communications, media, marketing, political science, or a related fieldGenuine interest in AI-generated content and familiarity with at least one GenAI video tool (HeyGen, Higgsfield, ElevenLabs, CapCut, or similar)Active presence on TikTok and/or Instagram with an eye for what performsInterest in progressive politics, social justice, or advocacy and how AI intersects with those conversationsSelf-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote environmentPortfolio, class projects, or personal content examples are a plus but not requiredWhat You Will GainHands-on experience with professional AI content production workflowsExposure to social media strategy, account management, and performance analysisMentorship from an experienced team working at the intersection of AI, media, and advocacyA portfolio of real published content to take with you$25 - $30 an hour15-20 hours/weekAcademic credit arrangements available upon request.Vocal Media is committed to developing leaders, policies, and a team culture that embraces diversity and enhances equity.
