Responsibilities

Role Responsibilities: - Own SEO strategy across multiple local and service-based business clients. - Audit accounts and set priorities independently, without relying on a prebuilt checklist. - Build data-driven strategies using Google Search Console, GA4, rankings, competitor research, site performance, local visibility, and conversion data. - Lead local SEO, including Google Business Profile, service and location page strategy, citations, reviews, and local organic visibility. - Handle technical SEO, including crawling and indexing issues, redirects, canonicals, schema, internal linking, site architecture, duplicate or thin content, and diagnosing ranking or traffic drops. - Develop on-page and content strategies grounded in search intent and business goals. - Measure qualified traffic, leads, calls, and business impact rather than rankings alone. - Review and quality assure SEO work and give clear, constructive feedback to teammates. - Explain strategy clearly to internal teams and clients by translating technical recommendations into plain language. - Stay ahead of AI search and generative engine optimization, and understand how traditional SEO connects to visibility in AI-generated search experiences. Requirements: - Ability to work in the U.S. Central Time zone. - Professional written and spoken English. - Ability to work independently and make strategic recommendations without constant direction. Preferred Qualifications: - Five or more years of hands-on SEO experience. - Three or more years of agency SEO experience. - Strong experience with local SEO for U.S. service-area and local businesses. - Advanced experience with Google Search Console and GA4. - Experience with SEO tools such as SE Ranking, Semrush, Ahrefs, or similar. - Strong WordPress experience.
