Requirements and responsibilities

OVERVIEW: We are seeking an Intermediate NOC Engineer (Network Focus) based in Latin America to serve as a technical backstop and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for our Infrastructure team. Advanced English (C1) is mandatory to ensure effective communication with US clients and precise documentation. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience, specializes in Cisco and Meraki environments, and possesses the professional maturity to work autonomously during the second shift, handling critical incidents with composure and excellent ticket hygiene. This is a Full – Time Job / Remote from LATAM. Shift: Second Shift (5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. EST). Available Schedule: Monday-Friday, Wednesday-Sunday, or Saturday-Wednesday. KEY RESPONSABILITIES: • Manage and resolve escalated support requests (P1 and P2 incidents), acting as the primary owner of progress within the ticketing system. • Perform deep dives into infrastructure issues to find root cause resolutions rather than just quick fixes. • Execute technical maintenance tasks, specifically Cisco and Cisco Meraki switch updates and configurations. • Maintain impeccable ticket hygiene by keeping notes thorough, clear, and concise, ensuring documentation is always up to date for customer environments. • Operate with a high degree of autonomy ("adult supervision not required"), proactively communicating roadblocks and managing workflow during after-hours operations. • Collaborate with the team to pass along learned lessons to junior engineers and escalate to vendors or senior resources when necessary. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: • 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a Network Engineer or NOC Engineer in an enterprise or MSP environment. • Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco networking (Switching/Routing) and Cisco Meraki ecosystems. • Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure P1/P2 incidents professionally. • Proven track record of working autonomously and maintaining high productivity without direct supervision. • Advanced English proficiency (C1) with strong written skills for technical documentation. PREFERRED SKILLS: • Experience with ITSM/Ticketing tools and adhering to strict SLAs. • Knowledge of NetSec (Networking/Security) competencies. • Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or Meraki specific certifications). • Familiarity with change control processes in managed services environments.
