We are currently hiring a Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist in Philadelphia, PA. Our team is building a comprehensive cardiac program that includes cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology. The current team consists of one cardiac surgeon, one interventional cardiologist, one electrophysiologist, and one cardiac anesthesiologist. As the program continues to grow, the anesthesia team is expected to expand to two full-time anesthesiologists, with further growth anticipated as additional surgeons and interventional cardiologists join the program. At this stage, the second anesthesiologist will participate in both cardiac cases and general anesthesia cases, working alongside 11 other anesthesiologists. There is no in-house overnight call. Call coverage is taken from home and shared among the anesthesia group, including two part-time, as-needed cardiac anesthesiologists. Completion of a pediatric anesthesiology fellowship is required, along with additional training in pediatric cardiac anesthesia, preferably including a dedicated one-year pediatric cardiac anesthesia fellowship. Board certification or board eligibility in pediatric anesthesiology is required. We are steadily building toward a fully staffed and robust cardiac service.
