In this role, you would be joining a team working on building out payment processing and fraud and risk management technologies that power the billing and checkout experiences for our customers.What you’ll be working on:Ship technically challenging projects end-to-end in a fast-paced, iterative environmentHave the opportunity to propel the business forward, and recognize the impact of your work on the company’s business metrics and user experienceWrite production-ready, well-tested codeWork on full-stack projects within a tight-knit, dynamic team of talented developersWork on enabling web/app tracking for marketing analytics and conversion attributionCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams (data, growth, marketing, business stakeholders)Our Tech:We use a state of the art architecture powered by microservices written primarily in Python (FastAPI). We use React (with TypeScript) on the frontend, and Postgres/Redis for storage and caching.We use Gitlab for version control and CI/CD, and our infrastructure is hosted on AWS using KubernetesWe use Snowflake and BigQuery as our data warehouses for analytics workloadsWe invest heavily in monitoring and automated alerting using DatadogWe use Amplitude, Hotjar, and LogRocket for client-side metrics and experimentation, and Snowflake for our data warehouseWe use Kafka as our primary event bus to transmit data to several product and marketing analytics solutionsWhat we’re looking for:You have 8 months of full-stack web development work experience, preferably with exposure to a dynamic, startup environmentYou have experience working with modern Python and have worked on web services, particularly SaaS, as well as internal toolsYou learn quickly, regardless of the languages and technologies usedYou have experience taking ownership and shipping entire features end-to-endYou thrive on decoding elaborate problems with logical, well-reasoned solutionsYou are interested in working on both the frontend and backend components of featuresYou are interested in working with React on the frontend and Python on the backendWhat We Offer:Home Office Setup Allowance: $300 one-timeFriday UberEats Allowance: $25/weekLearning & Development Allowance: $300/ per termFitness/Wellness Allowance: $120/per termCandidates can be based anywhere in Canada, provided they maintain a minimum 6-hour overlap with the Eastern Time Zone and are available to work a 40-hour work week.We’re a remote-first company, but you’re always welcome to join us at our head office on 260 Queen Street West in Toronto.
