Due to the continued success and expansion of our Data Centre business in Germany, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Project Manager (m/f/d) to join our Data Centre team in Frankfurt.In this role, you will oversee the pre-construction, construction, commissioning, and close-out phases of a hyperscale, state of the art data center project for a global technology client onsite.Responsibilities:Lead and manage the electrical pre-construction activities, including constructability in design, procurement and contracts, project planning, budget planning is delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.Lead and manage the electrical construction activities, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Oversee electrical system installations, including substation, transformers, switchrooms, MV & LV, life safety and all electrical associated systems.Ensure that the electrical designs are aligned with the overall design intent and client expectations, managing any issues that arise during construction.Pre-Construction Phase Oversight :Oversee and assist the design team in constructability and localization in the design focusing mainly on the electrical systems but assist and collaboration with other disciplines.Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety protocols are adhered to.Provide technical guidance on electrical system installations, ensuring that contract documents and specifications are relevant to the region.Play a pivotal role in the procurement of contractors and vendor.Construction Phase Oversight :Manage and supervise electrical subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, ensuring that work is completed to specification and safety standards.Full-time on-site presence to conduct inspections and supervise construction activities.Ensure construction activities are in full compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety protocols.Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting on electrical system installations, ensuring that all work is completed as per the contract documents and specifications.Manage health and safety on site.Commissioning & Handover :Oversee the commissioning process of electrical systems to ensure all systems are fully operational and meet performance criteria.Lead the electrical system testing and commissioning process, ensuring all relevant documentation (test reports, as-builts, O&M manuals) are accurate and handed over to the client.Assist in the final project closeout and ensure the electrical systems are handed over seamlessly to the client.Owner’s Representation :Act as the primary point of contact between the client and the construction team for electrical-related issues.Provide advice and recommendations to the client, ensuring their interests are protected throughout the project lifecycle.Proactively identify and manage risks related to electrical systems and recommend mitigation strategies.Quality Control & Compliance :Ensure all electrical work adheres to quality standards and local regulations.Review and approve subcontractor invoices and work schedules.Conduct site safety audits and ensure that work is being performed in compliance with all health and safety standards.Budget & Schedule Management :Monitor and report on the progress of electrical work against the project schedule and budget.Track project costs, identifying and addressing cost overruns or delays.Ensure that changes in scope are managed efficiently, with appropriate documentation and approval processes in place.QualificationsA Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) are a plus.Several years of experience in electrical project management on construction sites, which includes experience working on data center construction projectsProven experience managing large, complex electrical systems installations and commissioning processes.Expertise in electrical systems commonly used in data centers, such as HV/MV/LV, substations, switchgear, controls, life safety and energy management systems.Experience with Owner’s Representation and working directly with clients, contractors, and other stakeholdersStrong understanding of mechanical design, construction methods, and systems integration.Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgetingProficient in construction management software and toolsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersHighly organized with attention to detail and a commitment to qualityStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressureAbility to navigate complex stakeholder relationships and manage expectations effectivelyClient-focused and proactive in identifying and resolving issuesAvailability for fulltime on-site workFluent English and German language skillsAdditional InformationOur inspired people share our vision and mission.
