The role focuses on developing and operating a data-intensive platform on AWS, supporting data engineering, data mesh, and MLOps capabilities. You will work in close collaboration with architects, product owners, and engineering teams to ensure a scalable, secure, and high-performing platform.RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure and platform services on AWSBuild and evolve data platform infrastructure, including data pipelines, data mesh components, and MLOps foundationsDevelop and manage infrastructure as code using TerraformEnsure platform scalability, security, and reliability across environmentsCollaborate closely with the Data Platform Architect and customer Product Owners to evolve the platformWork with Data Engineers, supporting them with infrastructure and platform capabilitiesContribute to and refine Agile user stories together with the Proxy Product OwnerWork on a variety of topics including DevOps, data engineering infrastructure, and ML infrastructureProvide guidance on software architecture and development best practices to the team and stakeholdersREQUIREMENTSStrong hands-on experience with AWS, including networking, security, and serverless services (e.g., Lambda, Glue)Proven experience building and operating cloud platforms or data-intensive systemsSolid experience with Terraform for infrastructure as codeStrong programming skills in PythonExperience supporting or working with data platforms (data pipelines, data mesh, or similar architectures)Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD, and automated deploymentsAbility to work in an Agile environment and collaborate with cross-functional teamsGood understanding of software architecture and development principlesWillingness and readiness to travel as required by project or client needs is expected.
