Because breakthrough AI should move at the speed of ideas, not infrastructure.About the RoleWe’re looking for a Data Center Project Engineer to provide technical and administrative support to the on-site Senior Project Manager and construction team. In this role, you will be the documentation and quality backbone of the build keeping RFIs moving, submittals on track, field quality verified against design intent, and closeout organized for a clean handover to Operations. TensorWave’s facilities house GPU racks running 40–100kW+ each, built to the highest standards of reliability and precision. The work you do on-site directly enables the AI infrastructure our customers depend on.What You’ll DoProvide technical and administrative support to the on-site Project Manager and construction team.Manage the RFI (Request for Information) log and process, tracking timely responses and distributing updated information to all relevant parties.Coordinate the submittal and shop drawing review process between the construction team, engineers, and architects, ensuring design specifications are met.Conduct detailed quality control (QC) inspections and document progress against the plans and specifications.Assist in the preparation of RFQ (Request for Quotation) documents for developers and contractors.Who You AreRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.5+ years of experience in a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or similar role on large commercial, industrial, or infrastructure construction projects.Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting complex construction documents, including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings and specifications.Familiarity with RFI and submittal management processes and standard industry workflows.Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable producing professional documentation under time pressure.Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams without letting details fall through the cracks.Preferred QualificationsExperience on data center, mission-critical facility, or industrial construction projects (e.g., manufacturing, semiconductor, pharmaceutical).Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam Revu, or similar construction management and document control platforms.Familiarity with data center industry standards: Uptime Institute Tier Classification, TIA-942, ASHRAE thermal guidelines.Knowledge of critical facility systems: UPS, PDU, generator plants, switchgear, CRAC/CRAH cooling, BMS/DCIM, structured cabling.OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.Experience working in a GC (General Contractor) or owner’s representative capacity.Commissioning (Cx) experience or familiarity with Cx processes for mechanical and electrical systems.What We OfferStock Options100% paid Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance for EmployeesCompany Health Savings Account Contributions100% paid Short Term and Long Term Disability Insurance for EmployeesLife and Voluntary Supplemental Insurance OptionsOther Insurance Options, such as Pet & Legal InsuranceVarious Supplementary Health Benefits, such as discounted Virtual Healthcare Appointments and Serious Illness SupportFlexible Spending Account401(k)Employee Assistance ProgramFlexible PTOPaid HolidaysParental LeaveOther In-Office PerksEqual Employment OpportunityTensorWave is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
