Job DescriptionThe Role: Blue Recruitment Personnel is recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead an independent fostering agency’s service in the North London area. This is a senior leadership position responsible for the overall management, quality and compliance of the fostering service, with a clear focus on achieving positive outcomes for children and young people. You will provide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership, ensuring the service meets Ofsted requirements, National Minimum Standards for Fostering and all relevant safeguarding legislation.Shift Pattern: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to attend meetings, inspections and occasional out-of-hours commitments as required.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage the fostering service, including recruitment, assessment, approval, training and supervision of foster carersEnsure robust compliance with Ofsted regulations, National Minimum Standards and fostering legislationOversee case management practice, safeguarding processes and quality assurance systemsBuild and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, partner agencies and stakeholdersPrepare for and lead Ofsted inspections, ensuring continuous improvement and complianceManage and develop a team of supervising social workers and administrative staffMonitor performance data, complaints and incidents, implementing improvements where neededContribute to service development, policy review and strategic planningRequirements:Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registrationSubstantial experience within fostering or local authority children’s servicesProven experience in a senior leadership or management role within a fostering serviceStrong understanding of fostering legislation, safeguarding and the National Minimum StandardsExperience supporting or leading Ofsted inspections with a strong compliance recordExcellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skillsSuitable Experience:Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a fostering management or senior supervising roleDemonstrable track record of managing a fostering service to a high standardExperience working with complex cases and high-needs children and young peopleFamiliarity with Form F assessments, panel processes and carer support frameworksWhat’s on Offer:Competitive salary of £65,000 per annum, depending on experiencePermanent, full-time position with a reputable independent fostering agencyOpportunity to lead and shape a high-quality fostering serviceSupportive leadership team and commitment to professional developmentCar allowance and benefits package (details on application)Polite Notice: Blue Recruitment Personnel Ltd. is acting as a recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy.
