US LBM Lead Software Engineer (Digital Workplace) will provide technical leadership while working hands-on alongside software engineers developing highly available applications, integrations, and automations across US LBM's digital workplace, collaboration, identity, endpoint management, intranet, and workflow automation, built on Microsoft 365, Workday, and a modern identity and endpoint stack.This role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, product partnership, and business engagement. The Engineering Lead will partner with Product Managers, Architects, and business stakeholders to align technology delivery with business objectives and guide teams through design, development, deployment, and support.Above all, this is a builder's role at the leading edge of US LBM's move to an AI-First software development lifecycle. Partnering closely with the Product Manager, the Lead Engineer will own use-case discovery and rapid prototyping, quickly turning ideas into working proof-of-concepts that demonstrate business value across the organization, and will lead their team in adopting AI across how we discover, design, build, test, and ship software.What you will doPartner with the Product Manager to own use-case workplace safety.Education QualificationsBachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experienceExperience Qualifications5+ years developing and delivering custom web, mobile, enterprise, or integration solutions4+ years of full-stack development experienceDemonstrated technical leadership through mentoring, code reviews, design guidance, architecture, and delivery ownershipStrong hands-on experience building full-stack applications with TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+), including React on the front end and Node.js on the back endExperience developing back-end services in Python and/or Rust, and working with relational and document databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDBExperience building and integrating digital workplace, collaboration, and identity/endpoint platforms (Microsoft 365, Workday, Simpplr, Power Automate, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Jamf), including workflow automation and identity/accessExperience designing and consuming secure RESTful and GraphQL APIsExperience with containerized workflows using Docker and Kubernetes, and CI/CD
