*NOW HIRING: Accountant* 📍 Location: Urbandale,Iowa, United States Job Type: Contract Pay Rate: $38/hour Duration: 6 months with opportunity to convert to FTE (CTH) ✅About the Role We are seeking an experienced Accountant to support Accounting Operations as an individual contributor. This role requires someone who can work independently with minimal supervision, take ownership of accounting processes and projects, resolve complex issues, and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. ✅Key Responsibilities * Independently manage accounting tasks, priorities, and deliverables with minimal supervision. * Own end-to-end accounting projects and processes, including planning, milestones, monitoring, and timely delivery. * Provide guidance, coaching, and training to peers and junior colleagues. * Communicate effectively with internal teams, external customers, vendors, and other stakeholders. * Respond to inquiries professionally and maintain strong working relationships. * Recommend improvements to operational practices and procedures. * Collaborate with stakeholders to align accounting practices across functions. * Investigate and resolve complex, multifaceted accounting and operational issues. * Analyze root causes, interdependencies, and potential business impacts when resolving problems. * Conduct in-depth analysis and scenario-based evaluations to support decision-making. * Contribute to department performance by collaborating across teams and sharing accounting best practices. * Support process improvement initiatives and monitor their effectiveness. ✅Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. * 5+ years of professional experience in accounting or finance. * Experience in accounting operations, finance operations, or a similar transaction-processing environment. * Ability to work independently and deliver results with minimal supervision. * Proven experience managing end-to-end accounting processes or projects. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to resolve issues involving multiple stakeholders or areas of expertise. * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. * Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deliverables effectively. * Preferred Qualifications * Experience developing and implementing process improvements. * Experience monitoring process effectiveness using metrics or KPIs. * Experience training or coaching peers and junior colleagues. * Strong knowledge of accounting best practices and standard processes.
