Requirements and responsibilities

About The RoleWe’re hiring for our Government Partnerships team to drive our public sector expansion. This is a quota carrying, externally facing role responsible for taking government opportunities from intro to qualification to deal to signed partnership. This is a quota-carrying, revenue-driving role with full ownership of the deal lifecycle. You will work directly with senior leadership and operate at the front lines of bringing Brain Co.’s AI products into state, local, and federal government environments. This is not a policy role. This is not a “government advisor” role. This is a commercial role for someone who can convert complex, multi stakeholder government opportunities into signed partnerships. What You’ll DoOwn the full lifecycle of government opportunities: intro → qualification → stakeholder navigation → close → early relationship ownershipOwn a revenue target tied to closing Signed Design Partnerships (SDPs) and converting them into paid deploymentsBuild, manage, and advance a pipeline of public sector opportunities from early signal through closeConvert warm inbound / network-driven opportunities into Signed Design Partnerships (SDPs)Navigate complex government buying processes across agencies, departments, and stakeholdersDrive momentum in ambiguous environments where there is interest but no clear ownerBuild relationships across city/state agencies, mayoral offices, permitting/ infrastructure departments, and public sector ecosystemsPartner closely with product & engineering to translate customer needs into deployable solutionsOperate as a hybrid, seller (close deals), operator (move things forward without structure), and early account owner (maintain momentum post-close)What Success Looks LikeThis is a high-agency role where outcomes matter more than activity. Success is measured by:Consistently hitting or exceeding revenue targets tied to partnerships and deploymentsMaintaining a healthy, self-generated pipeline in addition to generating outbound and converting inbound opportunitiesAbility to generate and close Signed Design Partnerships (SDPs)Driving opportunities from early interest → committed pilotCreating momentum across complex, slow-moving government systemsOwning relationships end-to-end without heavy internal supportWho You Are4+ years of quota-carrying sales or partnerships experienceProven track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder dealsExperience selling into government or government-adjacent environmentsAbility to independently drive opportunities forward in ambiguous settingsGovTech or public sector SaaSEnterprise sellers covering SLED / public sectorStartup sellers navigating complex buyer environmentsPartnerships leaders who have owned commercial outcomesWhy This Role MattersGovernment systems are some of the most important and most outdated infrastructure in society. Brain Co. is already proving that AI can accelerate permitting, modernize public systems, and unlock billions in value. This role is how that actually happens. You are the person who turns interest → action, conversations → partnerships, and pilots → real deployments.LocationFlexible, with travel required for government partners and key engagements.
