Position Details: - Physician Assistant (PA) – Vascular Access & Ultrasound-Guided Procedures. - Locations: Raleigh, Dunn, Oxford, and Henderson, NC. - Position Type: Full-Time. - Salary: $130,000–$150,000 annually (depending on experience). Position Summary: - We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with expertise in ultrasound-guided PICC line and central venous catheter placement to join a growing procedural team. - This role is ideal for providers who enjoy procedural medicine and working in a fast-paced outpatient environment utilizing advanced ultrasound-guided techniques. Responsibilities: - Perform ultrasound-guided PICC line placement. - Perform ultrasound-guided internal jugular, femoral, and other central venous catheter placements. - Evaluate patients for vascular access needs. - Perform pre-procedure assessments and obtain informed consent. - Utilize sterile technique and ultrasound guidance for all vascular access procedures. - Monitor patients during and after procedures. - Recognize and manage procedural complications. - Document procedures accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR). - Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, and referring providers. - Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory standards. - Assist with additional office-based vascular and procedural services as needed. Qualifications: - Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. - Current North Carolina NP or PA license (or eligible for licensure). - Current DEA registration (or eligible). - BLS and ACLS certification. - Minimum 2 years of independent experience performing ultrasound-guided PICC line and/or central venous catheter placement. - Strong ultrasound skills. - Excellent procedural and patient communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in Interventional Radiology, Vascular Surgery, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine, or Vascular Access Teams. - Experience with midline catheter placement. - Experience placing dialysis catheters. - Experience with arterial line placement. - Familiarity with fluoroscopy-guided procedures. Schedule: - Monday–Friday. - Daytime outpatient procedural schedule. - Rotating weekend on-call coverage (approximately one weekend per month). - Occasional travel between clinic locations may be required.
