As the subject matter expert, you will bring strong technical and operational knowledge of live production workflows and broadcast control room environments, including both traditional baseband and modern IP-based workflows (SMPTE ST 2110).You will collaborate with engineers, technical directors, producers, operators, system integrators, and decision-makers across broadcast, streaming, corporate production, rental and staging, houses of worship, and education.Success in this role requires hands-on experience with Grass Valley switcher platforms—particularly K-Frame, Kahuna, and/or Mav-X—plus familiarity with competitive systems. A solid understanding of how switchers integrate into full production ecosystems (cameras, replay, multiviewers, routing, graphics, audio, and IP control) is essential.Your RoleAssisting sales teams, customers, and integration partners with production switcher system design, deployment, and operations;Bill of Materials (BoM) creation and solution configuration;Delivering product demonstrations and proof-of-concepts at customer sites and trade shows;Supporting service and technical support organizations with escalations and design questions;Delivering in-person and virtual switcher training and technical presentations;Maintaining and managing demo systems and operational readiness;Coordinating shipment logistics for demo hardware;Managing travel planning and expense reporting;Responding to RFIs, Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and Requests for Quotation (RFQs);Participating in customer meetings to address workflow needs and technical requirements;Supporting solution qualification and opportunity strategy with Sales and Product teams.Who you areThe most critical skills you will need:Deep technical knowledge of Grass Valley production switchers including K-Frame, Kahuna, and/or Mav-X;Exceptional understanding of live production workflows and signal flow including Production Automation;Strong IP video knowledge including ST 2110, PTP, NMOS, and network architecture concepts;Ability to design complete production switcher solutions integrated with video, audio, control, and monitoring systems;Operational understanding of switching techniques, macros, MEs, layering, transitions, and effects;Superior verbal and presentation skills; the ability to clearly explain complex systems to technical and non-technical audiences;Outstanding interpersonal and customer engagement skills;Excellent written and spoken English;Solid Windows / MS Office proficiency.Important skillsPowerPoint and presentation development;Diagramming tools (Visio, Lucid, Draw.io, etc.);Documentation and workflow visualization;Ability to effectively interface with engineering, sales, and product management teams;Experience assisting with system acceptance testing and customer validation.Nice to have skills and experienceFamiliarity with third-party production switchers and control systems;Experience with Grass Valley AMPP workflows and integration;Multilingual (Spanish, Dutch, or others);Prior experience responding to formal bids and tenders (RFP/RFI/RFQ);Understanding of automation, tally systems, General-Purpose Input/Output (GPIO), and control protocols;Knowledge of broadcast graphics workflows and replay systems.Working ConditionsCompetitive Compensation packagesEnergizing and supportive work environmentRemote role with up to 40–50% travel; candidates must live near a major airport and be able to store and transport demo equipmentThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work involved for this job.
