Responsibilities

OverviewRwazi is building a global data engine that powers decision AI for leading enterprises. This role owns the design, reliability, and evolution of that engine. The Head of Operations is responsible for ensuring that data generation executes predictably at scale today — while systematically transforming the underlying system to reduce cost, volatility, and manual dependency over time. This is not a traditional operations role.It is a systems-building role with full accountability for execution outcomes and structural innovation. This role operates under immediate, high-stakes pressure. You are expected to take control of a complex, fast-scaling system, stabilize it quickly, and drive measurable results within days — not months.Core MandateYou will own a single outcome:Rwazi generates high-quality data, on time, at controlled cost — regardless of scale, geography, or complexity. You will operate with full ownership and authority over execution outcomes. This requires:Immediate stabilization of execution under active loadDesign of scalable execution systems across regionsContinuous reduction of operational dependency through automation and system redesignYou are responsible for both making it work now and making it unnecessary later.Failure to establish control and deliver results quickly will be visible immediately. This role is outcome-driven with no buffer for prolonged ramp time. What You Will Do1. Establish Execution ControlTake full ownership of delivery across all deploymentsEliminate backlog and restore predictable throughput immediatelyBuild real-time visibility into performance, risk, and bottlenecksEnsure every deployment meets defined quality and timeline standardsOperate under aggressive timelines and shifting constraints without loss of control2. Design Scalable Execution SystemsBuild acquisition, activation, and retention systems globallyOptimize throughput and reliability across marketsCreate repeatable playbooks for rapid geographic expansion3. Build the Operating SystemDefine the core mechanics that govern execution (routing, validation, escalation, recovery)Replace ad hoc processes with structured, measurable systemsIntroduce instrumentation that enables forecasting and control4. Collapse Cost and VolatilityIdentify and eliminate sources of operational inefficiencyReduce dependency on manual coordination and variable inputsImprove predictability of delivery timelines and cost structures5. Drive System EvolutionPartner with the Product team to translate operational bottlenecks into product and automationDesign pathways to reduce reliance on human-driven workflows over timeContinuously move the system toward higher automation, lower variance, and greater scalability6. Build and Lead the FunctionHire and develop a high-performance operations team as neededEstablish clear ownership, accountability, and performance standardsCreate a culture of execution discipline and system thinkingWhat Success Looks LikeData generation becomes predictable across all deploymentsBacklogs are eliminated rapidly and do not recurQuality is consistently achieved without reactive interventionCost per unit decreases as scale increasesThe system requires less manual coordination over timeOperations transitions from reactive execution to controlled infrastructureWho This Is ForThis role is for an operator who has:Built or scaled complex, distributed execution systemsOperated in environments with real-world constraints and imperfect conditionsStrong quantitative intuition around throughput, cost, and system dynamicsThe ability to move from chaos to structure quicklyA bias toward building systems, not managing tasksComfort operating with incomplete information and extreme execution pressureBackgrounds may include high-scale logistics, distributed infrastructure, or complex B2B systems — but success in this role depends on the ability to evolve beyond existing models, not replicate them. How You WorkYou take full ownership of outcomesYou operate with urgency and precisionYou solve problems at the root, not the surfaceYou build systems that remove the need for constant interventionYou do not wait for resources, clarity, or permission to moveYou do what is required to make the system work — then redesign it so it no longer breaksSummaryThis role owns the execution system behind Rwazi’s data engine. In the near term, you are expected to step into a high-pressure environment, establish control immediately, and deliver results under active constraints. In the long term, you will transform how the system operates — reducing dependency, increasing automation, and enabling clean, scalable execution. This is a role for operators who can enter complex, high-intensity situations and produce results quickly.
