This unique opportunity allows you to expand your professional expertise into the fascinating world of forensic medicine and legal consultation.This role offers the chance to apply your medical knowledge in criminal and civil legal cases where you'll analyze complex cases involving trauma, assault, acute injuries, toxicology, emergent conditions and other forensic scenarios that require specialized medical interpretation.The ideal candidate possesses strong critical thinking skills and can think outside the box when analyzing how injuries occur. You'll need to consider how underlying medical conditions may affect injury patterns and outcomes, and be able to explain complex traumatic injuries in clear, understandable terms that help juries grasp the injury mechanism and how it relates to the specific elements of each case.In this role, you will review medical records, provide expert opinions, conduct independent medical examinations, and testify in legal proceedings related to emergency and trauma-related injuries and conditions.
