Senior Symfony Software Engineer (Remote).
We’re seeking Senior Symfony Software Engineers to join a high-impact team driving innovation in the vacation-tech industry. This is a fully remote contractor opportunity where you’ll work alongside skilled engineers in a modern, fast-moving, cloud-based environment.
🔧 About the Role:
You will help design, build, and optimize scalable services using Symfony and PHP. You’ll work on mission-critical systems, contribute to clean and testable codebases, and be part of a team that values engineering excellence and embraces AI-assisted development.
🛠️ Tech Stack:
Languages/Frameworks: PHP 8+, Symfony, Doctrine ORM.
APIs: REST & GraphQL.
Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL.
Infrastructure: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes.
Tools: Git, CI/CD pipelines.
✅ Must-Have Qualifications:
Technical:
- Deep experience in Symfony architecture and advanced PHP (OOP, design patterns).
- Strong SQL skills and API integration experience.
- Performance optimization for APIs and services.
Soft Skills:
- Clear, professional English communication.
- Openness to AI-enhanced development workflows.
- Ability to work at least 3 hours overlapping with Pacific Time.
💡 Nice-to-Haves:
- Hands-on experience with AWS.
- Familiarity with Vue.js, React, Twig.
- Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
