Headway is building a new mental healthcare system that everyone can access. They have built the first software-enabled network of therapists who accept health insurance, making it easy for therapists to grow their practices, and possible for patients to find quality care they can afford. They launched in April of 2019 and are now powering 400,000+ appointments per month. To scale their vision, they’ve raised over $100 million in funding from a16z, Thrive, Accel, and Google Ventures. Headway is looking for a Data Engineering Manager to help them get closer to executing their mission: to create access to affordable, quality mental healthcare across the United States. The data engineering team builds the platform on which they process financial data and make business decisions. As the Data Engineering Manager at Headway, you will work closely with the Head of Infrastructure to help shape the future of the data organization. You’ll grow and lead their Data Engineering team and build out their next generation of data platform systems. Responsibilities: - Lead and manage a team of 4+ engineers with headcount for growth - Help plan and build their next-generation data platform systems with an eye toward scalability and stability - Work directly with business, finance, and product stakeholders to roadmap and align projects - Develop and grow your team through weekly 1-1s, mentorship, and feedback - Work with and help develop aspiring engineering leaders within the engineering team - Contribute to the broader company strategy and product roadmap
