PDI, Inc. provides innovative products, educational resources, training and support to prevent infection transmission and promote health and wellness. PDI, Inc. is seeking a Sales Representative to achieve territory sales, product category, and business developmental objectives in the foodservice industry. This is a full-time, home-based position near Sacramento, CA, servicing a Northern CA territory. The Sales Representative will build and maintain relationships with top operators and key distributors, negotiate marketing plans, and conduct business reviews. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of verifiable sales results in the foodservice industry and current relationships with key operator and distributor customers within the assigned region. Responsibilities: - Build and maintain relationships with top operators in the market - Focus on strengthening the product line by expanding assortment at key locations - Develop, maintain, and expand relationships with key purchase influencers and economic buyers - Report regularly on sales activities and opportunities - Maintain sales activity files on all current and potential customers - Maintain a complete inventory of samples of all products sold by the company - Build and maintain relationships with key distributor management - Negotiate marketing plans and conduct business reviews - Resolve key distributor problems - Conduct distributor sales meetings - Plan and operate within established corporate guidelines - Review and analyze sales and trade spend reports - Document sales activities in a timely manner - Maintain profiles of all current and prospective customers - Up to 50% travel as needed - Work out of a home office - Adhere to corporate policies
