- Postman is an API platform for building and publishing APIs. - Postman is used by more than 30 million developers and 500,000 organizations, including 98% of the Fortune 500. - Postman recently closed a $225 million Series D investment round led by existing investor Insight Partners, and joined by new investors Coatue, Battery Ventures, and BOND, along with existing investors CRV and Nexus Venture Partners. We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the team responsible for building and maintaining Postman’s performance testing product. The ideal candidate will scale and develop a team of diverse engineers, design and implement a highly scalable and reliable system, optimize the user experience and performance of the product, and raise the bar for engineering standards, tooling, and processes. This role requires strong technical leadership, people management, and exceptional communication skills. Responsibilities: - Scale & develop a team of diverse engineers to build the best-in-class Performance Testing tool - Design and implement a highly scalable and reliable system that can cater to the needs of the millions of developers performing perf testing on their APIs - Optimize the user experience and performance of the Product by identifying the right initiatives to invest in to scale the product - Raise the bar for engineering standards, tooling and processes - Partner with peers in Product, Design & Engineering to craft the best building blocks, guidelines, & standards, & evolve the team’s vision, mission, & strategy - Participate in the end-to-end recruiting process, hiring & onboarding exceptional engineering talent - Define, measure & own key metrics for the performance of your and your team’s functional areas - Motivate & communicate across multiple levels.
