Requirements and responsibilities

We'd like to work with someone who: - Has extensive skills in Python scripting. You understand when to move from a notebook to hard code. Bonus points if you can then wrap that code into a robust deployment pipeline. - Has excellent knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Postgres preferred). - Has experience with data cleaning and data wrangling. - Has strong background in data science and statistics. You know the difference between a Poisson and Beta distribution when to go non-parametric and solutions to model time series data. - Has knowledge of pandas, NumPy, scipy and scikit-learn. If you wanted to code a basic neural network from first principles you could, but you know that PyTorch is a great tool to use instead. You understand how Facebook Prophet works and can apply it to time series data. - Knows a thing or two about data visualization; Seaborn in Python or maybe you are able to make beautiful plots in R. - Has a testing-based workflow and can implement tests in Python using Unittest or Pytest. - Strong English skills and feels comfortable communicating with clients. - Has had experience working with GIS data before.
Optionally, you can add more information later (benefits, pre-screening questions, etc.)
