Senior Account Managers are viewed as one of the leads on client accounts and are held accountable for the satisfaction of their clients, as well as the motivation and effectiveness of their teams and direct reports. This individual will be responsible for developing the marketing and communications strategies for their clients while managing team members to ensure programs are being effectively executed.Responsibilities include but are not limited toProactively consult clients on integrated marketing and communications strategiesEffectively manage account teams to service the scope of work with outcomes that meet and exceed client expectationsBuilding strong relationships with clients to retain and grow a portfolio of accountsLeading and participating in all stages of new business pitchesCounseling clients in one-to-one settings as a primary strategic partnerHelping lead planning and strategy workshops with clients to map business/comms goalsMentoring and training junior team members, and identifying areas for growth and mentorshipOverseeing and supporting programs and projects from kickoff through goal achievementUnderstanding and leading teams to apply traditional and emerging tactics and tools across the communications spectrum to execute client plansThe ideal candidate willDemonstrate a deep understanding of the overall financial services industry, spending at least 7 years working with financial services clientsHas an in-depth knowledge of Public Relations and the earned media space and understands how different channels can be applied to meet objectivesExhibit superb organizational and time management skillsCan hold honest, “tough” conversations with client contacts to ensure the client is happy and the account is retained or growingMaintain a professional decorum at all times and act as a brand ambassador for the agencyCan manage up and down to ensure that teams are meeting their deadlines and goalsHas a passion for creating excellent and high-quality deliverablesMaintain a strong spirit of collaboration and encourage teamwork across their accountsBe a Vested ambassador and contribute to agency cultureWorking at VestedWe are a fully flexible agency and are accepting applications from candidates anywhere in the U.S. who are eligible to work in the United States.
