This role is responsible for compiling and submitting performance statistics from electronic health record systems (eCW, ePreOp) to meet regulatory requirements from CMS and other governing bodies, as well as internal quality benchmarks. The specialist ensures timely and accurate data submissions, supports MIPS reporting and compliance, and collaborates with division leadership and the Health Information Management (HIM) team.ResponsibilitiesParticipates in EHR implementations involving planning, workflow analysis, configuration design and training of EHR (electronic health record) software application.Supports data collection, analysis, and reporting of quality and performance improvement activities for Gastro Health as required by CMS, government agencies, and the respective Division’s Clinical Quality CommitteeCollects, compiles, and reports quality performance statistics on a quarterly basis for Gastro Health’s medical/gastroenterology practices on eCW (Florida, Alabama, Virginia, Washington, Maryland) to the Division leadership ensuring timely communication of such performanceCollects, compiles, and reports quality performance statistics on a quarterly basis for Gastro Health’s anesthesia ancillaries on ePreOp (Florida, North Florida, Alabama) to the Division leadership ensuring timely communication of such performanceEnsures proper processing on a bi-weekly basis of anesthesia billing files to ePreOp (Florida, North Florida, Alabama) for submission to NACORWork closely with the HIM Manager and Team Lead to submit all reports in a timely manner and informs HIM Manager of any discrepancies, delays, or significant changes in performanceMaintains historical documentation of the process for collecting, compiling, submitting, and timely filingAttends MIPs workflow training and proactively educates oneself on the documentation requirements needed for each measureConducts training and in-services as directed by leadershipCollects and uploads eCW MIPs Dashboard statistics to the Smartsheet Manager Dashboard, for the prior month’s performanceSends weekly productivity report to supervisor as directedMinimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent3years of experience working in a medical practice or similar settingIntermediate experience with creating and displaying reports on Excel and PowerPointAbout Gastro HealthGastro Health is the largest gastroenterology multi-specialty group in the country.
