Requirements and responsibilities
Key responsibilities:
* Design and develop EDI solutions using Edifecs SpecBuilder, MapBuilder, and XEngine.
* Handle healthcare transactions including 834, 837, 835, 820, 270/271, and 276/277.
* Onboard trading partners, troubleshoot issues, and support system upgrades.
* Collaborate with business teams, QA, and external partners.
Must-have skills:
* 8+ years of experience in Edifecs development using SpecBuilder, MapBuilder, Rule Editor, and XEngine.
* Deep expertise in healthcare EDI, HIPAA standards, validation, and error handling.
* Strong SQL skills and solid knowledge of the payer and healthcare domain.
Nice-to-haves:
* Experience with Edifecs versions 7.x and 8.x.
* Knowledge of Java, XML, XSD, web services, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
* Experience with claims and enrollment systems.
